I provide legal advice for national and international IT-service providers, software vendors and IT-users on all matters relating to the contractual arrangement and implementation of IT-projects, in particular software development, IT-outsourcing and data privacy matters.
I am advising clients both on the contractor and the contracing side on the awarding, structuring and negotiation of outsourcing agreements in the IT and telecom area. I help my clients to prepare tender processes for IT services or BPO agreements, including the requirements of German public procurement law and compliance issues with German banking regulatory requirements.
One of my strengths is a solid understanding of technical and organisational matters in relation to the IT and telecommunications area, with a focus on network and Internet technologies, ITIL processes, systems operations, security technology, data security and Disaster prevention/disaster recovery.
In recent times I have worked on many projects concerning data privacy and data security issues. For example, I advised a manufacturer of medical products on the implementation of Corporate Binding Rules (BCRs). Another example is an international accounting firm which I advised on the requirement of German Tax law on cross-border outsourcing of F&A Services.
